The client’s need was to return, after the pandemic period, to organize the annual convention of all member volunteers in attendance. From this input came the idea of organizing the convention for the nearly 450 volunteers on board a cruise ship, the only location that could safely host an event of this magnitude in compliance with the health regulations in force at that time. The designated Location was therefore MSC Magnifica on the Venice – Split – Venice route.
We were primarily responsible for the organizational secretariat, location surveys, and constant dialogue between the client and MSC. Starting then with the opening of the conference organized inside the ship’s theater, we managed and coordinated the different training and leisure moments, such as workshops, shore excursions, and simultaneous meetings in different rooms of the ship repurposed for the occasion as meeting rooms. We thus went on to characterize the different moments of the conference up to the concluding moment always inside the theater and the Gala dinner on the last night of sailing.
