The Boho-style wedding

The Catholic ceremony was held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Fossalta di Piave (VE), a church to which the bride has always been close.

A traditional ceremony framed in a floral arrangement featuring Medici bowls filled with different flower essences resting on gilded metal parallelepipeds placed asymmetrically within the nave.

The bride’s dress designed by Fauso Sari features a foliage-embroidered corsage, while the groom a classic three-piece suit from the Fabio Gritti atelier.

Arrangements in an industrial space

The reception was held at the venue of la Filanda Motta, a 19th-century building in the countryside where the provinces of Treviso and Venice embrace.

After the aperitif, made by Piaceri di Gola and enjoyed in the front garden of the manor house, guests were welcomed into the main hall, carved out of what were once spaces dedicated to the old spinning mill, a finely restored industrial space with a large hall. There where the old looms were once positioned now found space for the two imperial tables dedicated to Irene and Mirco’s guests.

Two long imperial tables welcomed guests for dinner. The table decoration featured a rich succession of glass vases of different shapes and sizes to hold floral bouquets in soft tones of pink, white, green and orange. The flowers chosen ranged from white and powder roses, hydrangeas, lisianthus, carnations to gerberas.

The elegant and retro cake cutting

The Wedding Cake consisted of three different cakes decorated with flower petals made of Italian-style meringue.

The setting where the cake cutting took place, on the other hand, was framed by an old brick wall lit by vintage lamps and disheveled flower arrangements to make the whole thing less formal and eventful.
